How this directory is built
Every course is sourced the same way, one state or country at a time.
Official source first
Each state's own golf association directory, or a national federation for a country outside the US — name, address, contact info, read straight from the source.
Commercial fallback, only when broken
If an official directory is bot-protected or genuinely down, a legitimate commercial golf directory fills the gap instead — recorded on every affected row, never hidden.
Nothing invented
A blank field means the source didn't have it. No address, phone or website is ever guessed to fill a gap.
Questions about the directory
Where does this course data come from?
Every course here was read from its own state, national or regional golf association's official directory — name, address, phone, course type, hole count — never guessed or invented. Where an official directory was genuinely broken or bot-protected, a legitimate commercial golf directory was used instead, and that source is recorded on every row.
Why don't all courses show on the map yet?
The map plots real coordinates, and most rows were scraped from a directory that gives an address, not a lat/lng — geocoding the rest is a one-time pass still filling in. A course missing from the globe today is still in GolfTracker's directory; it just doesn't have a pin yet.
Is this the same as GolfTracker's scanned scorecard library?
No. This directory is every course as a PLACE — name, address, who runs it — and doesn't require a scorecard to exist. GolfTracker's separate scorecard library holds the actual hole-by-hole card (par, yardage, stroke index) for courses that have been scanned; a course can be on this map with no card yet.
Can I add a course, or fix one that's wrong?
Yes — email info@golftracker.ai with the course name and what's off (or missing) and it gets corrected at the source, not just patched on this page.
