Is the GolfTracker app free?

Yes. The GolfTracker app is free for iPhone and Android. Your tournament's organizer runs the event on GolfTracker; players and staff just download the app and join with their event code.

Do players need the app to play in a tournament?

No. Check-in, scoring, GPS yardage and the live leaderboard all work in a phone browser from a QR code or a tokenized link — no install, no login. The app is the nicer way to carry your tournament around on event day, not a requirement.

Is there a live leaderboard in the GolfTracker app?

Yes. The app's Live Leaderboard shows every team's standing in real time as scores are posted, ranked automatically, with each team's hole-by-hole scores available in an expandable detail view.

How does GPS yardage work in the GolfTracker app?

The app uses your phone's GPS to calculate live distance from your current position to the front, center and back of the green you're playing, hole by hole. Distances are computed on your device and are never stored or shared.

Does the GolfTracker app work without cell signal on the course?

Scores and check-ins entered with no signal are saved on your device and sync automatically the moment your connection returns, so a dead zone on the back nine doesn't lose your round.

What does the GolfTracker app actually do?
