Where GolfTracker sits in charity-golf software

Everything a tournament needs. One published price.

Six platforms compete for charity and corporate golf tournaments. Most of the field runs on undisclosed take-rates, qualification calls, or annual contracts sold to the golf course. Here is the whole board, with our own column marked so you can argue with it — and the rows where a competitor is genuinely better say so.

Competitor detail as published, August 2026. Vendors change pricing without notice — verify before deciding.

Common questions

What does GolfTracker cost?

Starter is free with a 3.5% platform fee on money raised. Pro is $299 per event and drops the fee to 2%. White-Label is $1,750 per year, runs on your own Stripe account, and takes no platform fee at all.

How is GolfTracker different from GolfStatus?

GolfStatus is the closest competitor and is genuinely strong on sponsorship. The practical difference is access: GolfStatus asks you to book a qualification call and does not publish its transaction fee, while GolfTracker publishes every price and lets you build your event site the same day you sign up.

Is GolfTracker cheaper than Event Caddy?

It depends on field size and the arithmetic is worth doing. Event Caddy's published model is $4 per player plus 2.9%. At 144 players that is $576 before the percentage. GolfTracker Pro is a flat $299 plus 2%, so the bigger the field, the wider the gap.

Do players need to download an app?

No. Players open a link. There is an optional mobile app for staff and golfers, but scoring, GPS yardage and the leaderboard all work in a phone browser.

What happens when there is no signal on the course?

Scores and any sales taken at the registration desk are stored on the device and sync when the connection returns. Everything event-critical also prints, because the fallback for a technology failure cannot be more technology.

Who is GolfTracker built for?

Charity and corporate tournament organizers, typically running one to a few events a year. It was built by the team behind the Arizona Golf Classic out of the tools they needed and could not buy at a sensible price.

About this comparison. GolfTracker pricing and capabilities reflect the live plan settings. Competitor detail is compiled from each vendor's publicly advertised packages as of August 2026; “not advertised” means a capability is absent from that published package, not that it cannot be arranged.
