The Golf Betting App That Does the Math: Nassau, Skins, Match Play and Wolf, Tracked by Bogey

A golf betting app should do two things: set the bets up in seconds and tell everyone who owes what at the 18th green. GolfTracker does both. Type one sentence to Bogey, the caddie built into the free GolfTracker app on iPhone, Apple Watch, Android and Wear OS. Bogey builds the round with the games already on it. Then score hole by hole, and the money keeps itself.

Ask Bogey on an Android tablet: "Papago Saturday at 8am with Mike, Tom and Rick. 5 dollar Nassau, 2 dollar skins, 5 dollar match play and 5 dollar Wolf, all net"

Step 1: Tell Bogey what you're playing

Open the app and tap Ask Bogey to set it up. Say it the way you'd text the group:

Papago Saturday at 8am with Mike, Tom and Rick. $5 Nassau, $2 skins, $5 match play and $5 Wolf, all net.

Bogey turns that into a card you can check before anything is built. It shows the course, matched against our course directory, plus the day, tee time, who's playing and every game with its stake.

The card Bogey builds from one sentence on iPhone: Papago Golf Course, Saturday at 8:00 AM, Mike, Tom and Rick, and four games

Anything wrong? Just tell Bogey: "make it $10" or "add Pat". If a course name matches more than one place, Bogey asks which one you mean instead of guessing. Then tap Build it. You get a code to send the group, so they can join from their own phones.

Built: Papago Golf Course is set up, with the code for your group

Bogey uses AI to read what you type. It asks first, and you can turn it off any time. The course, the math and the money all come from GolfTracker, not the AI.

Step 2: Check the games

Every round has a Games & money screen. It lists each game, the stake, gross or net, and who plays whom.

Games and money on iPhone: Nassau, Skins, Match play and Wolf, each net, with the Wolf tee order

You can add a game here too. Pick one, set the stake, choose gross or net handicap strokes, and choose whether it's played inside each tee group or across the whole field.

Adding Wolf on Android: stake per point, gross or net, played inside each tee group

The four games, in one line each

  • Nassau: three bets in one, the front nine, the back nine and the full 18. A nine-hole round is a single bet. Full Nassau rules.
  • Skins: each hole is worth the stake. Ties carry over, so one birdie can take a pile. Full skins rules.
  • Match play: holes won, head to head. A blow-up costs you one hole and nothing more.
  • Wolf: the Wolf rotates each hole and picks a partner, or goes Lone Wolf for double. Blind Lone is triple. Full Wolf rules.

Step 3: Score it, and make the Wolf call on the tee

Pair up your group (or tap Auto-pair), then Score this round. The scorer shows the games running at the top of every hole. On a Wolf hole it says who the Wolf is and puts the calls one tap away: Takes Tom, Takes Rick, Lone Wolf ×2, Blind Lone ×3.

The iPhone scorer on hole 1: a tip from another golfer, all four games, and the Wolf call

You'll also see tips for the hole from golfers who've played it. On hole 1 at Papago, for example: aim at the left edge, everything breaks right toward the canal. Leave your own tip for the next group.

Step 4: Watch the money move

After each hole, the running tab updates: who owes whom, netted to one number per pair.

Three holes in on Android: Rick owes Tom $22, Rick owes Mike $17, Rick owes Dave $17, and Dave is the Wolf

Step 5: Ask Bogey who owes what

At the turn or at the 18th green, open Ask Bogey on the round and ask "Who owes what?"

Bogey's settle-up: one number per pair, exactly as computed

Bogey reads the answer straight from the scores, the same numbers you see in the app. GolfTracker never holds or moves money. It keeps the book, and you settle up yourselves.

Ask mid-round and Bogey tells you where each bet stands, not just the final result:

Three holes in: Mike is leading Tom, Rick and Dave on both the front nine and overall, with $5 riding on each

On a trip, every round adds up

Playing three rounds in Scottsdale? Tell Bogey the whole trip in one go: the dates, the courses, who's coming and "$10 Nassau and $5 skins every round". Each round gets the games. Games & money nets the whole weekend into one settle-up per pair, so nobody has to dig through three scorecards on the drive home.

What it costs

A round for your foursome is free: the free plan covers up to 4 players and 1 round. Bigger trips are a one-time Trip Pass for the whole group: $9.99 for up to 8 players, $29.99 for up to 16, $99.99 for up to 48, with unlimited rounds. If Bogey sets up a longer trip on the free plan, the extra rounds are saved and go on automatically when someone buys a pass.

Start free. Tell Bogey what you're playing. It works on iPhone and Android, with Apple Watch and Wear OS scoring on your wrist.

Frequently asked questions

What's the best app for golf bets?

Use one that does the math hole by hole and settles everything at the end. GolfTracker tracks Nassau, skins, match play and Wolf, gross or net, and nets every game into one number per pair. It's free on iPhone and Android.

Does GolfTracker handle the money?

No. GolfTracker keeps the book: who won what and who owes whom. Your group settles up however you like.

Can it do net games with handicaps?

Yes. Each game can be gross or net. Net games give strokes by each hole's stroke index.

Do I have to type the setup?

No. Ask Bogey is the fastest way in, but the regular "Plan a golf round" and "Plan a trip" forms are still there, and you can add games on the Games & money screen.
