How to Set Up Your Tournament's Event Details
Step 2 of the GolfTracker setup wizard, Your Event, is where you name your tournament and set its date and venue — GolfTracker starts you with a template tournament already in place, so this step is about making it yours, not building from a blank page.

Step 1: Confirm or change your tournament name
This is the name golfers, sponsors and search engines see everywhere — your public site, your registration page, and any emails you send.
Step 2: Set your app event code
This is what golfers type into the GolfTracker app to open your event — put it on the sign at your registration table, and it's already included in every registration email automatically. GolfTracker suggests one from your event name; change it if you like, as long as it's 4–16 letters and numbers and unique on the platform.
Step 3: Set your date and venue
Your event date drives the countdown timer on your public homepage. Venue is a plain text field — the full name is enough for now; a dedicated course setup with hole-by-hole detail comes in the course step and again later if you want an interactive course map.
Step 4: Add city and state (optional)
Shown in your site's footer. Skip it and your venue name still displays fine.
Step 5: Save and continue
Click Save & Continue to move on to Your Course. Like every step in the wizard, everything here is editable later — nothing is final until your event actually opens for registration.
This is one piece of the full setup — see the complete walkthrough for every step from signup to event day.
