How to Add Course Maps and GPS Yardage

Course Maps & Markers, under Event Setup, builds your event's interactive course map — and you don't need a map image to start: click New Course Template, name your course and pick the hole count, and GolfTracker gives you a blank, shared-library template you can attach an image to later.

Step 1: Create a course template

From Course Maps & Markers → Map Images, click New Course Template. Give it a name and a hole count (9 or 18) — this creates a blank shared-library entry, not yet tied to any one tournament, so the same course can be reused across every event you run there.

Step 2: Upload a map image

Once your template exists, attach a satellite or hand-drawn map image to it. This is what golfers see as the visual course layout on your public site and in the app.

Step 3: Position hole markers

The Hole Marker Editor tab is where you place each hole's marker on the uploaded map, so the interactive map actually lines up with the real course.

Step 4: Add hole sponsors to the map (optional)

The Hole Sponsors tab links a sponsor to a specific hole, so your interactive map doubles as sponsor placement — useful once you've added sponsors.

Step 5: Set GPS yardage with Green Coords

For live, GPS-accurate front/center/back yardage in the GolfTracker app, open Green Coords (GPS), pick each hole, and click the green's location on the satellite map. Map a course once — every future event at that course reuses the same pins, no re-mapping needed.
