How to Set Up QR Code Check-In for Event Day

Check-In Scanner, under Event Setup, is GolfTracker's event-day tool for checking golfers in — search any golfer by name, email, phone, or scan their QR code, and track who's arrived in real time. There's nothing to configure ahead of time beyond having your registrations in place; it's ready to use as soon as golfers start signing up.

Step 1: Find Check-In Scanner in your admin

Under Event Setup, alongside your Tournaments and Registrations.

Step 2: Know your two check-in paths

Scan QR Code opens your device's camera to scan a golfer's check-in QR, sent automatically in their registration email. Or search any golfer directly by name, email or phone — useful when a golfer forgot their phone or QR code entirely.

Step 3: Use Take Money for walk-ups

The Take money panel handles mulligans, raffle tickets, and walk-up entries — cash collected at the table without a prior online registration.

Step 4: Watch your live stats

The dashboard shows Checked In count, Total Registrations, Paid, and Players Arrived as a fraction — a real-time read on event-day flow without refreshing anything.

Step 5: Send a reminder to stragglers

Send Reminder to All reaches anyone who registered but hasn't checked in yet — useful an hour before shotgun start.

This page needs no separate setup step in the wizard; it works directly off your existing registrations, so the real preparation is making sure registration itself is live well before event day.
